Therapy to Heal

At Blue Couch Therapy & Wellness, I am committed to helping individuals in both South Carolina and Georgia to overcome their past traumas and develop the skills necessary to navigate their lives with inner strength and emotional stability. With a deep understanding of the far-reaching effects of anxiety, depression, and trauma, I specialize in using evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and release the emotional pain and distress associated with their past experiences.

I approach each client with empathy, compassion, and a deep respect for their unique experiences and perspectives.  Being a trauma therapist is not just a profession for me; it is a vocation.

I am driven by a genuine desire to help people heal, grow, and reclaim their lives after experiencing trauma. Witnessing the transformation and resilience that my clients possess is both incredibly humbling and inspiring.

If you or someone you know is in need of trauma therapy and wants to embark on a journey of healing and resilience, I invite you to explore the services offered at Blue Couch Therapy & Wellness. Together, we can navigate the path to recovery and empower you to live a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Meet Our New Team Member, Louie!

In our organization, we are excited to introduce our newest team member, Louie, a Golden Doodle who is currently in training to become a therapy dog. Therapy dogs play a crucial role in providing comfort and support to people in various settings.

Louie is compassionate and friendly, making him an ideal candidate for this important work. Therapy dogs like Louie are known for their positive impact on emotional well-being. Research has shown that spending time with dogs can significantly reduce stress and anxiety levels. Louie's soft fur and gentle nature provide a source of comfort to individuals facing challenging situations. For example, therapy dogs have been employed in hospitals to help patients feel more at ease during their recovery. The presence of a therapy dog can transform a sterile environment into a more welcoming space and fostering healing.

The benefits of therapy dogs are increasingly recognized in our society, and we are eager to see Louie develop into a gentle and supportive presence in our community. As he continues his training, we look forward to the positive changes he will bring to the lives of others.
